Dear Community,

We are saddened to announce that the 2025 Swannanoa Winterfest, originally scheduled for Sunday, December 7, has been canceled.

Unfortunately, we are experiencing unexpected infrastructure supply challenges following a change in our tent vendor. In addition, our event director is facing an urgent family situation that needs to be tended to. As many of you know, Winterfest is organized entirely by volunteers with no paid staff, and our team’s capacity is stretched thin at this time.

While we’re disappointed to pause Winterfest this year, we encourage everyone to continue celebrating the season and supporting our community by attending other wonderful local events:

Holly Jolly – Friday, December 5 in Black Mountain

Black Mountain Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 6

Short Sleeves Holiday Market in Swannanoa – Saturday, December 13, 9 AM–3 PM

All Winterfest vendors will be contacted separately regarding refunds.
