About

Grovemont Park & the Swannanoa Community Council

Grovemont Park is a public space in the heart of the Grovemont Community in Swannanoa! Our park consists of a playground (including swings, slides, climbing spaces, and more), a rubberized walking track, accessible exercise stations, benches, and picnic tables.

Grovemont Park is managed by the Swannanoa Community Council (SCC). The SCC is a dedicated, all-volunteer organization committed to preserving and maintaining vital community spaces in the Grovemont Community of Swannanoa. Unlike many public parks and buildings owned by the county, these cherished spaces—including the community center building (home to the Swannanoa Library), Grovemont Park & playground, Fox Creek Park, and the Historic Grovemont Square—are owned by the Swannanoa Community Council for the benefit of our community.

Keeping these spaces vibrant and accessible requires the dedication of volunteers, along with time, energy, and funding. From routine upkeep to long-term preservation, every contribution helps sustain these special places where neighbors gather, children play, and community connections thrive.

Getting involved matters! When we invest in our parks and shared spaces, we strengthen the fabric of our community. A well-maintained and active community space fosters a sense of belonging, encourages positive social interactions, and provides a safe, welcoming environment for all. Community is our best safety net, and together, we can ensure that these beloved places continue to serve generations to come.

Join us in making a difference—because when we take care of our community, our community takes care of us!
