Rules & Reservations

 

Please observe the following rules so that the park can be enjoyed by all.

  • Grovemont Park hours are from dawn until dusk

  • Use of the park and playground is at you own risk

  • Adult supervision is strongly recommended

  • Dogs must be leashed and under control of their owner an are not permitted in the playground area

  • Persons violating park rules will lose their park privileges

  • DO: be courteous and respectful toward other park users and our Grovemont Neighbors

  • DO: keep noise levels down

  • DO: play safely

  • DO: have fun and enjoy the park

  • DO: park only in designated parking areas

  • DO: clean up after yourself and your pets

  • DON’T: litter

  • DON’T: push, fight, or play roughly

  • DON’T: use foul language

  • DON’T: bring alcohol into the par, playground, or parking areas

  • DON’T bring motorized vehicles into the park or playground areas

  • DON’T climb on the outside of the slides or the top of the playground tower

  • DON’T damage or deface the playground equipment or other park property

  • DON’T use the park or playground before dawn or after dusk

  • DON’T bring weapons into the park

  • DON’T use fireworks in park or anywhere on the property

To report criminal activity, please call the Buncombe County Sheriff at 828-250-6670. To report an emergency, call 911.

Permission is required to use the park for larger groups or for extended periods of time. To apply for a permit, see the information below:

Looking for the perfect spot for your next birthday party or small gathering? The Grovemont Park Pavilion is available for community use! To request a reservation, please complete the reservation application.

Important Information:

  • Reservation approval is based on event size, scope, and facility availability.

  • Parking is very limited and we encourage you to encourage your participants to carpool!

  • There is one port-a-john available at the park for public use. No indoor restroom facilities are available unless the library is open.

  • Please take all trash with you. There are no public trash cans or dumpsters available.

  • Once your request is submitted, a representative will contact you to discuss availability and next steps and suggested donation amount.

  • At this time, Grovemont Park does not host large concerts or major events for outside vendors or organizations. Due to limited infrastructure and staffing, we are unable to accommodate large-scale events while maintaining the safety, comfort, and integrity of our community space.
